Test Drive

So, I'm test driving a new sewing machine. Well, it's not actually new and it's not even mine. I have a loaner Artista 640 from Bernina Northwest. I need it for a project I'm participating in which requires that I do my sewing on a Bernina machine. Considering the fact that I work in a room full of Pfaff machines, that was a problem. But I've worked out a trade with the fabulous Glorianne and so I'll be providing some expertise to other garment sewing enthusiasts while I have the machine.

The machine has the Bernina Stitch Regulator (BSR) feature, and I've been able to borrow some specialty feet as well. Woo hoo! It will be fun to play with something different.

In the interest of more blogging and less procrastinating (hah!), I've added the 'Studio' to the Blog Networks application on Facebook.

At present I'm in the process of digging out my studio yet again. I think I may have surpassed even my previous efforts at burying myself alive in fabrics, tools and machinery. BUT - I finally have my new sewing workspace setup so hopefully it will stay organized easier. There is certainly much better machine access. I will be able to use all of my machines without pushing any of them out of the way first. What a concept!

I swear I'll take some pictures as soon as I'm less embarrassed to admit this is my workspace. Really. It's going to happen. Soon.
